This is a really quiet and safe street. Petersham is a green leafy suburb and is well known for it's Portuguese restaurants and cafes. There are many nice walks and parks around the area - there are beautiful 2 parks within 2 mins of my home and 3 coffee shops within 2 mins walk. This way you get the best of natural surrounds while being close to the city.
Walk 2 mins to train station then train ride from Petersham to Central (city) is 10 mins.
or walk 10 mins to Parramatta road with frequents buses to the city.
Very close to UTS (University of Technology at Broadway)- Bus trip about 20 mins from Parramatta road or 20 mins by train.
Sydney University (Camperdown) - 2 mins walk to Petersham train station then 12 mins train to Redfern and short walk to uni
UNSW - (Kensington) train to city then Bus - about 50 mins
Bus from here to the Central station about 30 mins.
If you have a car it is 7 mins drive into the city over the Anzac bridge.
Shops in Norton street Leichhardt - 2 mins bus ride to the shops, cafes, restaurants, Coles Supermarket, shops and Movie
