Hello,

My name is Yvette, and I am currently studying at the University of Sydney.

I came to Sydney on my own as an international student, and after living here for some time, I have realised that what I miss most is the feeling of being part of a family. Living alone can sometimes feel quite lonely, and I often miss my parents and the warmth of home.

For this reason, I am looking for a homestay where I can genuinely become part of daily family life. I would love opportunities to share meals, have conversations, and get to know the people I live with rather than simply renting a room.

I am also a dog lover. I have a dog back home in China, and I would be very happy to help with dog walking if you have a dog.

In terms of accommodation, I would prefer to have my own private bedroom and, if possible, a private bathroom. The cost of homestay is not my primary concern; finding a welcoming, clean, and comfortable home environment is much more important to me. I would also prefer to live in a non-smoking household, especially one where no one smokes marijuana.

Ideally, I would like to live somewhere reasonably close to the University of Sydney. A location near the City would be wonderful, especially around Martin Place or Barangaroo.

Timing is also very flexible for me. I still have around two years left in Sydney, and if I find the right homestay family, I would be happy to move in as soon as possible.

A little more about me: I enjoy playing musical instruments, watching TV shows, and playing video games, but most of my time is spent studying. I am clean, respectful, and considerate of others’ space and routines.

If possible, I would love to meet and chat before making any arrangements. I think it would be nice for both of us to get to know each other and see whether we would be a good fit.
